JOB DESCRIPTION

Partnership Development: Identify potential partners and collaborators, negotiate partnerships, and develop mutually beneficial agreements or contracts.

Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain relationships with various institutions, such as government agencies, other nonprofits, businesses, educational institutions, or foundations.

Advocacy and Networking: Represent the organization at conferences, meetings, and events to network with other institutions and advocate for the organization’s mission and goals.

Communication: Act as a liaison between the organization and external institutions, ensuring clear and effective communication. This may include creating and delivering presentations, reports, or proposals.

Research and Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and the activities of relevant institutions. Analyze data and research to identify potential opportunities for collaboration or areas of concern.

Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of strategic plans and initiatives that involve external partnerships and engagement. Help align external relationships with the organization’s mission and objectives.

Monitoring and Evaluation: Track the progress and impact of partnerships and engagement activities, ensuring they align with the organization’s goals. Make recommendations for adjustments as needed.

Project Management: Manage projects related to institutional engagement, including timelines, budgets, and resources.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments or teams within the organization, such as marketing, communications, or program management, to ensure that external engagement efforts align with broader organizational strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as business, marketing, communications, or a related area is typically required.

Experience: Prior experience in institutional or corporate engagement, business development, sales, or client relationship management is highly desirable.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Relationship Building: Ability to identify and cultivate relationships with key institutional partners, including businesses, government agencies, nonprofits, or other organizations.
Experience in networking and leveraging existing contacts within the industry.

Strategic Thinking: The ability to develop and execute strategic engagement plans that align with the organization’s goals and objectives.
Analytical skills to assess the potential impact of partnerships and engagements on the organization.

Sales and Negotiation Skills: Proficiency in sales techniques, including prospecting, lead generation, and negotiation, especially in a business-to-business (B2B) context.
Contract negotiation and deal-closing skills.

Industry Knowledge: Understanding of Environment and Climate Change.
